KPTV Specials
Through the years, KPTV created
many programs that aired on a limited or "OTO" (one time only)
basis. Either produced in the studio, or from another location with
the aid of the KPTV Remote Truck, these programs offered viewers a glimpse
into special events, topics of local interest or regional sports.

KPTV
50TH ANIVERSARY SPECIAL
A one-hour special
hosted by former KPTV weatherman David Apple, which covered the first
half-century of Oregon's first television station. The program, which
interviewed several long-time KPTV employees (many of whom had been
laid-off by the time the special aired), was the last program to be
completely produced at KPTV's East Portland facilities. |
